If you jerk a 7, then the pellet that left the barrel sooner will be closer to center.

Re: Pistol Pellets: 7.0 gr vs. 8.2 grain ?
I got my pistol shooting what I thought was good 5 shot groups with 7.0 R10.
Maybe I can improve with heavy version?

Re: Pistol Pellets: 7.0 gr vs. 8.2 grain ?
If you are trying to convince yourself that heavier is better, maybe try some 10 grain pellets and turn your velocity down to 400 fps for good measure. I'm sure a very consistent hold would play a factor in repeatable results, especially over 7.0 grain pellets at 525fps.

Re: Pistol Pellets: 7.0 gr vs. 8.2 grain ?
Buy two cartons of each pellet and when you finish shooting them you will know the answer. Absolutely. This is the only correct answer. I'd limit the variation of 7.0gr vs 8.2grain - as simply: How would the trajectory change, i.e. how many clicks on the elevation sight, if any? Less barrel time, l...

Less barrel time, less recoil variation, one hole groups.
Why Not use 7.0?

Re: Hammerli AP20 Pro Problem?
The rattle when you shake it is the striker. It is free when not cocked. The striker spring is slightly shorter than the tunnel which allows a little bit of free play for the striker to move. My Hammerli 480, and my Steyrs can make that noise when tilted back and forth. I think you nailed it regardi...

Re: FWB P44 air Cylinders
FWIW I have used the Superlube that Pilk shipped with both my guns on many of the moving parts, like bolt roller for more than 10 years. I also mix some of it in moly powder in a pellet tin specifically to put on the cylinder threads of my Steyrs. They go on and off noticeably easier that Superlube ...

Re: LP10e bolt "dent"
That would certainly make sense. Under normal dry fire condition the striker is arrested by the cam with the bolt in the T position. If the bolt is open more, the striker is then hitting the bolt itself. I have accidentally done this a few times myself without a flag. It certainly made a different s...

Re: FWB P44 air Cylinders
Have you tried putting a dab of synthetic grease like Superlube brand on the threads?
It works well especially with a little moly powder mixed in. If the threads are bone dry, they have a tendency to gall and stick. Cylinders should go on with just two fingers and a thumb.

Re: LP10e bolt "dent"
I don't know how you cock it, but I was just watching many people shoot last weekend that grabbed their lever and yanked it back, more focused on the next shot, just like some people close car doors with way more force than required. Perhaps if you just remove the burr, and cock easily until you fee...

Re: What's the point of the triggerstop setting?
Some guns really need it imo. If the trigger collapses after breaking, I like to arrest the rearward motion before it picks up speed and then stops. On a trigger that doesn't collapse, especially one with a well lubed sear, the trigger just breaks and is still held from rearward travel by the same s...

Re: What brands and models of handguns should I consider ?
No, an electronic trigger is not a requirement. Watch some World Cup matches on Youtube. Plenty of people have made it to the finals/podium with mechanical Steyr, Pardini, and Walther models. An occasional FWB can also be seen. I have seen where electronics failed the competitors, but have not seen ...

Re: What brands and models?
I have owned other brands that let me down, both in design and customer service. I have adopted Steyr mechanical trigger pistols as the most reliable, simple to adjust/service, and customer service ease of getting spares. I have never had Pilkington's staff tell me that a desired spare is out of sto...

Re: question about AV-46m (IZH-46m)
FWIW my early non- M 46 is able to cock and it stays vertical until it is pushed down to fire, whether the chamber is pressurized or not. I wonder if all AV-46M have a slight change (defect) from the IZH version?

Re: question about AV-46m (IZH-46m)
For those with cocking issues:
Can you cock your hammer to dry fire?
If yes, will the lever stay up after you have cocked it?
