Exactly the same thing has happened at the Conventional Pistol Intersectionals locally as well---down from two weekends including Friday nights to just enough to fill the points for two days. The International Pistol sectionals also have dropped numbers logarithmically from two weekends to two days ...

The translation of "Laserschriftet Orientierungshilfe" is Laser-marked guideline assistance. From the view of the device in place it seems to replace the left side of the TOZ rear sight. From the translation it is apparently a laser device that helps zero the gun, find the target ????. Whe...

Steve, it's the old fashioned DESIRE, COMMITMENT, GOALS, PRACTISE, PRACTISE, ANALYZE, PRACTISE, PRACTISE etc. The Europeans have only the "International Shooting Sports" events to turn to, whilst we have IDPA, IPSC, Cowboy Action & Bullseye that turns heads faster here than a TOZ, Mori...

The noise is not going to be a problem---but, the gun can be heard and this will bring hysterical neighbors who will start screaming "we have a murderer living on the block." You also might do yourself a favor and find the PD policy on discharge of a firearm. Police only will recognize &qu...

Just additionally, the procedure is about ten minutes and there is very little discomfort and absolutely no pain. I was reading license plate numbers that night without glasses. It did take more time with the right than the left and BTW the surgeon can also get rid of most of your astigmatism as min...

F. Paul I was just in a jesting mood knowing you are an attorney. As to my friend, Richard in Guelph, we Americans are an overly litigious society but in the long run you have to count the number of shooters who have been hosed (IMHO) by MG. If the only recourse is to "SUE" than sue it is,...

Nicole, I had both eyes done four years ago and it has been a blessing for everything, especially shooting. Imagine being able to drive w/o glasses, buy fancy Oakley sunglasses, shoot with only a minor corrective lens in my Champions. Seeing the rings on the targets has been real scary, I don't murd...

I have never seen a pistol discussed as much as the MG-2. And most of the discussion seems to be around how to fix problems. To me it seems that these are magnificent guns when they work but expensive paperweights most of the time unless you have the time and knowhow to tinker with the insides. Boy...

Au Contraire, from the general discussions that have emulated from this forum the SSP is something you don't want. It has toooooo many problems the new GSP Expert is a fine gun with which you will be happy. The reports on the SSP sound vaguely like the reports re: MG2.

Here We Go Again

A Massacre of 30+ people at Virginia Tech today will be cause celebre for another round of anti-gun talk. Right now we have the Pelosi D-CA-attempt to renew the infamous Clinton ban some 16 years ago. The part of this bill is the actual mention of the Ruger 10/22 rifle which outlaws the receiver and...

It's all in the way you adjust the iris--I will gradually adjust the iris until the amount of light on the target suits my view and at that time my front sight will also be as sharp as it will ever be. There is not thought as to the rear sight just the target brightness and the front sight---the rea...

This is an example of short-stroking on the TOZ---one of the earliest fixes was to take the grips off and with a dremel and sanding drum (coarse) open the area taken up by the cocking action---with an idea to increasing the stroke in both directions. A second reason might just be that you a "li...

At age 76 I cannot detect any difference in my shooting scores when I 26---they've always been lousy. Quite frankly I have always been a proponent of the 12 second lift and shoot school. This usually gives me about 8 seconds on the sights and target, if the shot doesn't go---then it's back down and ...

There are people who stick by the old "push and call 'em" (plug) type of gauges. I guess we in the USA have experience with the overlays, "Shot Glasses" or Eagle's eyes which we rely upon as a scoring gauge. Our USA brand of shooting, Bullseye, doesn't allow the use of a plug exc...
