What Happened to the SSP??

I suppose just for the heck of it---what of anything has been heard lately regarding the SSP? It seemed like last Winter, Spring and early summer we heard long dissertations on the SSP, and now I cannot recall the last time we heard anything. So basically what's out there???

Ted, start thinking in the $550+ class---depending on the condition---which is tough to determine as the gun comes looking NRA Acceptable brand new. No shine, horrendous screws to adjust, practically non-working slide stop, tilted sights etc., etc. yet it will shoot the living hell out of the ten ri...

I personally would not start fooling with grip modifications on the Pardini---first of all check the heel piece pressure, IMHO your hand should just fit in the space with a little bit of a squeeze----then the proper location of the finger joints on the grips---and the thumb pressure. The trigger pos...

Basically "non-support" becomes a big issue for owning a gun that is no longer in manufacture. Parts supplies become "iffy" if non-existent. I owned the Unique DES69U, an excellent standard pistol, when the factory closed and the parts & machinery turned into scrap---I sold t...

Only thing I can say in a negative fashion, as I remember mine it needed new firing pins every so often (once a year)--they tended to be rather "soft" to say the least, I finally got a machinist to make a pair for me from good steel.

Blake has done a great job with the team for several years now. The History of smallbore shooting in High Schools on Long Island goes back over 60 years. At one time there were over 90 teams and ranges spread all over the Island. Nearly every high school had a range and fielded a team, these were th...

All I can report after I had both eyes done four years back--the results are fantastic. With the new implants my eyes are 20/20 left and 20/25 right with the need to wear glasses for reading. The Knobloch iris is much wider and I have vision that allows me to see front sight and target clearly, in f...

Unfortunately mebbe Pardini is getting sloppy-I bought my SP & HP through Nygord years back---these guns were clean, pristine and clean. Prefired target was included with the SP.

They look like my Walther SP200, which was made in cooperation with Baikal. Cosmetic changes and lack of any safety only a slide lock that works---if you don't look at it--still an IZH35M in a low level mufti. Good gun----

The pattern that you show is very dispersed and hard to generalize as to a specific "fault." The overall comment I would make is that your pistol is in line for at lease 4+ clicks right windage at 25 metres. Other than trying to analyze the position of each shot, the fact that the majority...

Never heard of a "left" handed trigger---check the adjustment of your trigger as it may be offset for another reason. Loosen the the trigger shoe adjustment screw on the left hand side of the trigger and see if the trigger is "off-track."

It's nice to debate (face to face) however IMHO debates on the internet on a site such as this is generally a waste of web space. While I do not believe in these long feuds that seem to persist, i.e. Chet & chetting---The person is long known to be a wee bit unstable and all you do is encourage ...

I don't think that's limited field at all---there are also Morini's. As far as the IZH and clones---I don't think you are giving anything up. This gun beat the brains out of the world for years. Jim that's interesting to know about the follower---I never needed to remove it---perhaps a gentle persuasion with a leather mallet and a wood dowel may help extract the base. I admit they don't some out easy but it's not that much of a chore---and I have pianist's fingers not hams.

You are correct the pin must be drifted out on a bench block. Then all you do is the remove ( just pry it off with fingers) the base and the whole nine yards comes out---except for the follower---I have never tried to remove the pin of the follower ( not necessary IMHO for cleaning). Reassemble in r...

As long as you are thinking of making a stop screw---consider also, removing the left hand side, radius of the body. If you want to send charges of 1.3 grains or less the radiused left end will make life very difficult. Additionally there is a micrometer adjustment screw to replace the regular charg...

There is a micrometer adapter for the Dillon Small powder bar---the problem with the small bar is the small increment end of the bar is radiused on the edges--so rendering the bar almost incapable of getting real small loads i.e. 1.2 gr of VVN310. I carefully removed the radius by some careful filin...
