Whether or not it was the previous owner of my 46M---but I cannot release the damned slotted screws on the rear sight. The reason is the slotted screws themselves-- had the slots set so deep that when you apply a screw driver with extra effort they expand the slot against the threads---voila---screw...

I agree with that assessment---run a bore snake through with a couple of drops of a bore cleaner and scrub the chamber with a bent .22 brass or bronze brush. Get a magazine chamber brush and scrub in there as well, toothbrush to the face of the bolt---a wee bit of oil on the moving parts before a ma...

I think the organizers realizing the "deficiency" within the machine to score "doubles", bent over backwards to please. Let's just say that they were at this time "in the shooter's advantage" and let it go at that. Doubles are a real problem with the wad cutter pellets,...

A few minutes of careful grinding with a dremel can decrease that weight if you have a mind to. Just a suggestion---I wouldn't touch it myself thinking down the road---as possibly selling it and wanting it all to be pristine.

Eggsackly David, Target Timers makes an AP RF target system with red & green lights. With the change to lights why bother with moving targets?---I am sure that a light system whether by electronics or manual is a heck of a lot easier to build. Let's get an electronics genius out there to stick h...

There are many strange stories that happen with .22lr---I remember shooting Rapid Fire in the 25th Anniversary NYS Empire State Games---and my adversary on Bay "B"was firing a Hi-Standard and during the 8 second stage I hear a loud "pop". I finished my string and the lights turn ...

The answer is yes in both cases. If it's One Hour forty five for 60 shots + sighters in Men's AP---do the math for forty shots + sighters. The Target in SP is the same for "Slow" Fire (2'30") and 20" & 10" stages.

Living right next to NYC (ugh) all I can say to make it simple is---possession of any gun within the 5 boros of NYC is unlawful unless you have a permit for said firearms---this includes rifles, shotguns, pistols, and air pistols and rifles as well. However with the possession of an NYC Pistol Licen...

Boy I still like the MG-2, too bad I had one of the first---liked that gun. The SSP seemed to take forever for the spent case to get out of the way. It's amazing the unbelievable complexity of the MG-2---I was fascinated with the Rube Goldberg operation---tremendously complex piece of engineering, w...

From the MG-1 I have fired and closely examined, appears to very well made on the exterior and has a superb trigger and sights. Now anyone who knows me, to compliment anything to do with a Morini (MG?) pistol will understand that that gun had to be borderline extraordinary or better. I almost went o...

My experience with the Morini was only for the three months I had a "loaner" from a close friend. I would have zero complaints about the gun---except for one major problem I had and that was either mine or the gun's tendency to produce a "whip" that was downright impossible to de...

I don't really get into what is often described as a "pissing contest" but the instant you put a plug gauge into the bullet hole you have destroyed the evidence of an "in or out " situation. By correct use of an optical gauge is the only correct way to determine shot value. These...

It has been my finding that when a .32 approaches but does not touch the next higher scoring, the gauge (NOT PLUG) will rarely if ever show it as the higher score. This comes from an awful lot of shooting with my former Pardini HP. As with all wadcutter bullets the holes look like they are cut with ...

USAS has apparently been in a turmoil for a while now, stories abound about it being either failing or about to fail. Kind of put yourself in the midst of the grande putsch with the house cleaning that went on in "Pistol Shooter's Heaven", and deservedly so. We had a bunch of shooters we w...
