Air Pistol classification question

At Camp Perry this year I rented an air pistol and shot a 30 round slow fire match. Scored a 270. Not bad for first time. The rule book says I need 60 shots for classification. Can I use that match towards my classification?

Re: Pardini 32cal bullseye gun

The current Women's Champion and my fellow member of Team UltraDot, Brenda Silva, uses a Pardini .32 for CF. She shot an 880 with it at Perry. She uses factory ammo at the long line and hand loads for the short line. They are more affected by the wind at 50 yards so you need to be proactive with win...

I always work the slide on my 1911 with the trigger pressed fully and the gun pointed in a safe direction. Once the slide has cycled then reset the trigger. Have been told by many that it preserves the trigger job. At the Zins clinic last month Brian said anyone could dry fire his Cabot but he would...

I can't believe no one talked about a Revolver. A good revolver in 45 with a 6 inch barrel, adjustable sights or a sight rib and custom grips should be well under $1,000. If you go full up with a PPC or Bullseye gunsmith it will be more, but most of the tricks can be done by a reasonably competent ...

dry fire with the gun lowered, pretty much in my lap (but unsupported), just working the trigger. I will watch the front sight to make sure there is no movement, but don't align the sights. I do this one a lot, as it trains independent movement of the trigger finger. dry fire against a dot on the w...

I have used a Weigand frame mount on my Wadgun for a year now. I bought the drill fixture and installed it myself. After I dry fit it, I cleaned the frame mount and screws in a ultrasonic cleaner and then put it together with red Loctite. The gun has seen at least 1000 rounds and the screws have not...

Aimpoint Micro series. Finer adjustments, doesn't use rings that lose their zero when removed for cleaning, less parallax at 50 yards, longer battery life, lower to the bore centerline... and a few others. More expensive? Yes. Do they reduce variables to why the shot isn't an 'X'? Yes. Was a test d...

I own several different models of Ultradots and also the Aimpoint Micro. I really think the Ultradot Matchdot is the best of them all. The Aimpoint is lightweight, durable, and has an incredible battery life. The price is really the big issue for me. You can buy two Matchdots for the price of one Ai...

All of them work good. You will definitely want the battery powered launcher until you figure out how to get it running by yourself. Some of them light up as you use them which can be distracting at work. They can be bought for 20.00 to 30.00 Just do not drop them! The gyro spins on a small shaft an...

I started using the powerball gyro that Brian Zins endorses. It definitely works your wrist and forearm muscles.

I have been using a Weigand frame mount since January. I have shot at six matches plus weekly dry fire and live fire practice. In May and June I shot my first Master scores with it. I have shot three clean timed fires with it. When I looked at my scorecard and evaluated my mistakes, I know the gun a...
