Maestro Design Pinpoint Trigger for a Hammerli AR20
The Hammerli AR20 is a starter rifle, and as such it comes with a very basic trigger blade. The only adjustment is forward, backward, and a slight cant from side to side, and an O ring you can move up or down the blade to change how the trigger feels on your finger. I had my stock trigger blade as f...

Re: How can I practice when I feel my rifle heavy
No matter what your position, standing, kneeling, sitting, or prone, you should be letting your bones support the rifle as much as you can. I know that this sounds simple, but like many things in our sport the simple things are deceptively hard to do well. I've found that this video explains the con...

Re: T200 PCP Rifle
Have you fixed it? If not, try this. If the sling is touching the shooting hand, try moving the support hand back and adjusting the hips to the left (right handed shooter, opposite for a left eyed shooter). The sling, upper and lower support arm should make a solid triangle, and by moving the hips a...

Re: First Rifle Help -- Entering 10m Air Rifle at Mid-Twenti
Those 200s (doesn't matter who imported them) and Crossman Challengers are really great rifles :) Someone wrote that with the removal of a single spring the Challenger trigger can be adjusted as light as a precision class air rifle trigger... But I'm not about to try that on mine since I still have ...

Re: Score drop on match day
The only thing to do is shoot more matches. You can get as much training experience as you really want, right? So that is why you are performing better in training. Shoot more matches, get more match experience, and have fun with it.

Re: Lothar walther barrel
Lothar Walther uses non-standard stainless steels for their barrels. "LW50" is harder than 416, it is used for centerfire barrels. "LW6" is used for rimfire. Since LW uses the button rifled technique I expect that they really went to custom steel blends to they could get highly u...

Re: Lothar walther barrel
Ironically, I've used Lothar Walther barrels in air rifle (several) and a custom 9.3x62 Mauser but not 22 rimfire.
But, based on the quality of air rifle barrels and the 9.3x62, I can't imagine having any issues with a rimfire barrel made by LW.
Hope this is helpful.

Patriot,
Since the OP didn't specify I listed the tightest grouping SK in the list. But the only way to really know for the OP is to test a few boxes in his rifle.

Re: Federal 711
jhmartin, As I wrote and was listed in the link, the rifle for the test was a Bleiker, no chamber/bolt information available beyond that. 22lr match chambers all engrave the bullet into the rifling on chambering, so beyond that no clue as to the actual dimensions, but Eley did come in top for the 50...

Re: Help identifying an old scope base?
That looks like a piece of surveying equipment to me, although the underside could be a European commercial Mauser mount (looks like a Dumoulin) it has the wrong screw hole pattern (one and one instead of the Mauser two and one). So if I had to guess, it's a scope adapter for surveying equipment. In...

Re: service rifle shooting
At reduced distances the M1A shouldn't have a marked advantage over an M1 Garand in 30-06, at least comparing rack grade rifles shooting ball ammunition. Accurized rifles shooting match grade ammunition the M1A might have a tad advantage. The real reason why the target scoring rings were reduced in ...

On the flip side, this is what equality looks like.
Kinda sad to see it though.

Re: JERKING
All rifles jerk to some extent, the laws of physics state that the same amount of energy that goes forward out the muzzle must also go backwards the other direction.
But I'm assuming you are talking about a larger than normal jerk or recoil?

Re: Bible of 10m Air Rifle?
This may be a dumb question... But here it goes. In order to compete in 10m precision air rifle, do you need to shoot all three positions? What if I only want to do standing? Is it possible to only compete in standing? Thanks! Mark Yes, standing only is the norm. Currently the ISSF mens event is 60...

Re: Will my age be a problem?
Dr Doctor, I got started in 10m air rifle in my 30s. If you want to play, you have to pay. There is no substitute for a decent rifle and well fitted jacket. If you want a good SSP, you are looking at something like a FWB 600 series or Anschutz SuperAir 2002. But for the prices those generally go for...

Re: Bible of 10m Air Rifle?
No need for stickies, at least in my opinion. I find a lot of resources here from the search function (and even external links back to here from global search engines). You never know when URLs will become dead links or information moved to another place. There are a couple books out there about pos...

Re: First Rifle Help -- Entering 10m Air Rifle at Mid-Twenti
If you are going to get a CMP refurbed Daisy, don't do any modifications except the trigger mod. You'll be throwing good money away for when you want to get competitive. Unless you just want to tinker, then by all means tinker away. The Daisys are excellent trainer rifles, in training a marksman how...
