Re: Youtube / Instagram accounts worth following?
Ginny Thrasher is also a good one to follow. She makes a lot of post about shooting and the discipline it takes to win.

AP20 trigger compared to others.
I’m just curious. How is the AP20 trigger compared to higher quality air pistols? Mechanical triggers of course. Has anyone here compared the hammerli to others?

I was kind of shaky and ended with a cross pattern. I’m not to upset about it. Not bad since I don’t practice nearly as much as I should. Oh, and my first 10.9!

Re: Using Club pellets?
Students have to shoot 500 or better in a match to get upgraded from an Hammerli AP20 to (typically) a Hammerli 480K converted to use AP40 cylinders. The second time they break 500, they get to start shooting .22's. A few don't manage that until they've shot for a couple years. Some do it on their ...

I did a bit of velocity testing with my AP20.
RWS Mirsterkugeln 7.0gr 515fps average
H&N Match Green 5.25gr 585fps average
So there was a gain of 70fps with the lighter pellets out of my pistol. Maybe this info will convince someone to give it a try.

Re: Using Club pellets?
I just received my order of RWS Basics from Neal. Great guy. Great prices. He just got a shipment in, if anyone was waiting to order. I ordered the RWS Basics after they were highly suggested here. They shoot just as well as any other pellet I’ve put through the pistol so far and I doubt I could tel...

AP20, replace cheap grip or build up?
I bought a Hammerli AP20 to start shooting 10m air pistol at home. If often contemplated replacing it with a better pistol, but in reality, it’s pretty much all I need. My problem is that the cheap plastic ambidextrous grip feels a bit thin under the palm. I used sugru to build up some areas and giv...

Seems like you had the same idea as I did. I tested my AP20 with RWS 7.0gr pellets and H&N Match Green (lead free) 5.25gr pellets. The RWS clocked an average of 515fps, ES - 3, SD - 1.2 H&N Green Match clocked an average 587fps ES- 4, SD- 1.7 Pretty good performance for a budget friendly air...

Air Pistol brand with the most support in the US?
Looking at upgrading in the future, what air pistol brands have the most support and best customer service here in the USA? You know, just in case of problems or needing spare parts. As a follow up question, what air pistol would you consider to be around for the long haul? I’d like to get something...

Re: New member, with a few questions and a "what would you do?" Scenario
I found myself asking the same questions about a year ago. I have two young kids, so that also factors in for my limited time and resources. I was looking into a full 1911 build for bullseye, but then I started coming to my senses. I wont be able to shoot it nearly enough to justify the cost. I’ve g...

Re: Gehmann Trap Reviews?
Ok, here is what I did. I took about a quarter of a pound of duct seal and added it in different places in the trap to deaden the noise. I added a large chunk at the bottom of the plate so the plate would angle downward. This didn’t really work out to direct the pellets down, but it did reduced the ...

Shooting from a rest.
Just wondering...
Can you keep your group in the 10 ring when shooting your AP from a rest? I’m not taking about a vice, I mean any old rest that supports the pistol. I have shot some groups with my AP20 from a bag rest and my groups are well within the 9, but not any better.

Re: Gehmann Trap Reviews?
I ordered one and received it in the mail. I’ll be adding a bit of duct seal to certain areas to try to make it more quiet. The plan is to add some to the bottom of the trap so that the back plate is angled down. I’ll also add a bit to the top tabs that hold the plate to minimize metal on metal nois...
