Lead Free Pellets

Your thoughts on lead free pellets please.

I've noticed most are very light and I've seen some non-specific references to them as not recommended for rifled barrels in air pistols.

Yes. R10 Match or Match+

Re: Best 10 Meter Air Pistol Targets

Thanks folks. I'm using an Izzy and a FAS 6004. Plenty of 10M power. At my range the targets have to be stapled to a cardboard form. Maybe I need an extra layer.

Best 10 Meter Air Pistol Targets

Who makes the best air pistol (B-40) targets? The ones I'm using from Kruger do not allow for nice neat holes most of the time. They are nice heavyweight stock but wadcutter pellets and rimfire ammo tends to tear rather than punch them.

Sig Sauer Pellets - BEWARE!

I took my FAS 6004 air pistol to the range yesterday. It would not fire the Sig Sauer Match Ballistic Alloy pellet (5.25gr). The cone is just slightly too large and I think the air charge will not send it down the barrel.

These pellets work fine on my IZH 46M and my Sig P226 .177.

Re: keeping warm

Champion C9 underwear is designed to help you be warm and cool depending on the activity level. It is very inexpensive (check Target), very lightweight, comes in colors, and warmth levels (warm, warmer, warmest). I guess it's unisex styling as I did not notice if it had both men's and women's styles...

Re: Benelli .22 Pistols

Benelli is the best value in its class and good place to start. It will serve you well should you decide to go that way. No, it is not a Pardini-FWB-Match Guns-Hammerli-etc-etc., but it is a capable pistol and should not be overlooked for someone on a budget. I bought a 90 and a Hammerli 280 several...

Re: cheapest 10m competition pistol on the market ?

If you do plan to stay in the sport for a long time, you are better off buying the current high grade pistols. You can go to Egun.de and can easily find a pistol of your choice very cheaply. Agree but with reservations. If you're serious about your shooting then your gear should reflect that. You d...

I believe it is the first PCP air pistol from FAS and is still in production.
I know nothing about it otherwise.

Muffo and Sureshot007 - Don't overthink the surgery or its potential. Go get evaluated and I'm confident if there is the slightest possibility that a procedure could be counterproductive your doctor would recommend against it. My doctor warrants his work forever and I'd bet most good ones do, even d...

Re: Anyone recently try Lasik?

My wife had LASIK done about 4 years ago. While your situation sounds similar to hers it may not be and the best advice and pricing is through research and talking to a couple of eye doctors. Prices and procedures are way different and much cheaper. I believe we paid $2000 per eye and that includes ...

Re: Anybody have a new FAS 6004?

Sigh.... let's start again. I already have a FAS 604 and would be very interested in hearing impressions on a FAS 6004 ( newly made by Chiappa ) from someone who actually owns one. What I, and I'm sure many others, would like to know how the 6004 compares to the 604 in quality of manufacture, fit &...

Re: Anybody have a new FAS 6004?

I've been considering a 604/6004 for some months now. I posted a request for info on another air gun site and got a little less info than this thread has provided. I think the gun has a lot of potential and just needs better marketing. It might sell itself if it can get into the shooter's hands. I'v...

I would steer clear of the 280. They are notorious for unexplained flyers. Too many other better pistols out there. Jon Jon - Interesting. I thought this gun made its bones in rapid fire. Are you referring to the .32 or does your remark apply to the .22 as well? I haven't had mine, a 22LR, for a lo...
