Re: FWB 600 shooting high
That would not change the alignment of the sights. Respectfully, it does or I wouldn't have posted it. If the rear of the action is held "proud" of the stock, the effect will be for the front sight to move down, the rear sight to move up relative to the cheek piece. The hold change requir...

Re: FWB 600 shooting high
Ot really looks to me that somebody has the action out of the stock and didn't get it put back in correctly..... The rear metal is sticking up above the wood a small bit, and it should be a bit below the stock...... Perhaps loosening the screws and moving the action around will resettle the action. ...

Re: "Budget" AP choice for beginner
Respectfully, I would shoot club guns and save for an upbudget offering. The other thing to do is to ask around for a well cared for 2nd hand gun. Theres also the entire world of no longer loved CO2 powered pistols. My CPM1 gives up nothing score wise to current pistols, its just a bit less adjustab...

Re: What makes a AP "kick"?
Recoil is a reaction motion caused by the acceleration of the pellet. Its also meaningless. Recoil is meaningless because it is a constant. The same pellet weight will give the same recoil in a range dictated by the standard deviation of the gun velocity. So that means that as long as you do things ...

Re: Hammerli AR20 Weak air/won't shoot
The regulators are almost always based on a belleville washer stack. They usually stop working when they get a bit of corrosion on them that prevents them from sliding along each other in the stack. Many times a bit of 100% synthetic oil oil introduced where the tank mounts to the rifle will shake i...

Re: FYI: Problems with Recent CCI Ammunition
Its long cartridges OAL wise. And its a long OAL with respect to the specific chamber you're trying to get performance out of. This sort of explains why rim thickness matters a lot, sometimes...... Its about selecting a round with the OAL long enough to fit your chamber deep enough and engrave. Too ...

Re: FYI: Problems with Recent CCI Ammunition
The CCI stuff has been longish for years. Its no secret that the longer rounds perform better as the bullet is controlled better between ignition and during obduration and engagement in the bore. It does cause problems with autoloaders designed for nominal Saami length ammo and even more issues with...

Re: FYI: Problems with Recent CCI Ammunition
I have a theory. CCI builds their standard velocity ammunition om the extreme end of the Saami spec intentionally. I believe that the engraving of the bullet in the rifling at bullet obduration is guaranteed at the high end of OAL. This works great for Saami nominal chambers. It seems that Eurospec ...

Re: FWB P8x vs Steyr evo 10e - share your experience
With respect to the cylinders on my P44 and the P8, the large buttress threads carry loads much better due to their thicker thread root thickness, but in all fairness, the steyr threads are non problematic. Also, As far as overnight leaking... That's usually addressed with a bit of synthetic oil and...

Re: Making scuba tank work with FWB air rigle
Feinwerkbau sends the tank adapter with the gun. I screw the tank adapter into the scuba bottle. I have never had a single issue with the tanks coming off. I just place a dab of grease on the adapter threads every now and again. When you fill the tank, crack the valve and let the tanks equalize and ...

This is an experiential thing that discussions and opinions, while nice, just can't convey the message. I got roped into shooting bullseye with a SW 22Abecause I had one. Nothing wrong with it, it went bang and holes appeared, but there wasnt a lot right with it either. I now have a High Standard Su...

Dont do the spring stretch until after the cleaning. If you do both and all it needed was a cleaning, The higher firing pin velocity mayshorten the pin life of break it.

Re: FAS 6007: FTF due to weak hammer spring?
Respectfully, another possibiity is a dirty chamber. 6007s have tight chambers to begin with and a bit of build-up results in the round not fully seating. The firing pin will strike the round and instead of going off, it is pushed further into the chamber, the rim will have the appearance of a light...
