Quiet mind
I like what Pat said but I don't think he is saying it to him self while shooting but before. If you study any sports psychology thinking and doing doesn't work. Visualize what you want to happen using as many of your sences (see the perfict sight pitchure, feel the presure on the trigger, hear the r...

Don't Judge
If a range owner is saying we are a pain what is that saying about us. At my range I am the only competive Bullseye shooter but people approach me all the time looking at my box, gear, and guns. The next thing I know is they want me to shoot their gun to see what it can do. I bet the same could be s...

Ultra Dot
Has anyone had an Ultra Dot that when you looked thru it the target appears smaller? I have the same model dot ( 30 mm ) mounted on both my 22 and 45. One when you look thru it there is little to no change but the other there is a noticeable difference.

Strength
Another line on strength always brings me to the little lady I shot next to who doesn't have arms as big as my wrist and kick my butt in 45. If you want to try something, hold the gripper up side down leaving your trigger finger free from the gripper. Now squease the gripper and place a coin between...

Free pistol grips
I shoot a Morini and was woundering if I can get a set of grips that are thin. My hand is wide but I have short fingers and with the large stock grip my fingers don't wrap around much even after modifing them. When I put my hand in the grip it feels good but when I raise to aim the feeling goes away...

Ok
When ever shooters talk about weight training I can't help to think back on a match years ago where I shot next to this little lady who arms were not as big as my wrist. It was the first target of 45 slow fire and as we went down range to score, I feeling cocky with my chest sticking out because I s...

I've had some types of ammo that gets stuck in the chamber of my Morini. In a match it can be distracting.

Check out Brownells, they have guide rods with holes in them for breaking down a gun the way he describes. I have a simular one on a comp gun.

Grips
To take nothing away from the grip makers to whom I have 2 one gallon zip lock bags full of their grips but, in the end I personally rather have good sharp checkering job on the front strap and mainspring housing of my guns. My hands swell now and then which make custom grips feel different. Checker...

Comp Gun
I've used a comp gun for years shooting steel. Don't see them on the Bullseye line very much if at all. They work best with high pressure rounds like the 38 super or lighter bullets pushed to the max in 45. Even then they don't as well giving up 10 to 14,000 units of pressure to the 38 super. The re...

This works
Get a plate of the size you want and cut the center the size you want be 9 ring for 25 yards or 8 for fifty and mount it on a hinge back in place. The inner plate will swing on the hinge when hit. Friend of mine made one. Be carefull not to watch the plate during timmed and rapid with iron sights.

Mussouri
I been looking around and I found Mussouri Bullets, they list different hardness for different needs. They have some teck info that might be helpfull to some. Also check out their 38 wad cutter listed at 10 BHN, might work for you 52 shooters. I've never delt with them, I cast my own 45s but I might...

Leading
Hi guys, Let me first state I'm not an expert at this but only going on what I've heard, read, and experenced. Isabel, if you can find a cast bullet on the market without tin in it let the people know. I don't know of any. You can get swaged that are pure lead. Levergun, all I changed was the hardne...

Bullet hardness
I've seen many post on loads, leading problems, accuracy and would like to share some infomation I think some know but not everyone. I've casted my own 45 bullets for lets just say a long time and in the beginning I used wheel weights with good results. Then I got caught up in the hard cast thinking...

Leading
If you look there is a lot of info on leading. One problem is too hard of a bullet at slower speeds. The load stated at the begining of 160 head with 3.5 of bull sounds real slow to me.

38 super mag
38 special flush seated wad cutters will fit into a 38 super mag but you will need a different follower. Standard one allow the nose of the round to tip forward causing gams.
A 38 super shoots nice.
