Re: Beginner reloading .32 rounds

Doc Young loaded vv 320 I used his ammo and it worked very well

the key I find is the expander and type of shell (straight wall vs +P)

+P will bulge by the expander

Remember there are different targets and distances; each can manifest different errors. A perfectly aligned platform (gun) can move up down, left or right by an inch and still score a 10 at 50 meters. That movement at the 50 foot target will move you out of the black. Angular error (simple sight mis...

Well it is working in BE, at least with a 22 and good fitting grips. The easy hold is dampening out the vibrations and letting the wobble settle down. I was back shooting mid 90s Slow and the better sustained were 99 7x and 100s (low x). It feels good and like I used to shoot but I am at risk for sn...

Grip pressure Air vs Free?

Hello, I am curious how many have experimented with varying grip pressure for air and free? I used to be a hard holder (in both) but lately I am finding that less is best especially in free and maybe even in air. Free pistol scores had been down for a while and trigger release not always smooth, eve...

I have had one for quite a while, love it I had to adjust stage balance to shoot it well. Used two different guns while adjusting the newcomer Battery circuit shuts down after a period of inuse instead of dying off. Saved me a bunch of times. Best score 575 and a 573 at Benning Only objection is una...

scoring

A more basic answer would be to first count the shots so as to verify how many could be in clusters. Start at the outer rings and count around the ring. If there is a multishot hole (3 or more) it becomes a judgement call but the benefit goes to the shooter if more shots could have passed undetected...

muck

I dropped a target in the mud at the targets to deal with mud while scoring and it was picked up. No unfair advantage to that ! A rack of pallets would have prevented the soft earth and standing water from mudding up It was only chance that I grabbed a pair of boots on the way out the door That was ...

current rules: cylinder age?

I haven't kept up on the rules: is there an age limit for air cylinders for use in the USASNC at Ft Benning? My Morini 162EI's are 2001 vintage How about CO2 cylinders, does age matter there? I have a 1999 Steyr LP1. Cylinder has no date but says 250 bar max. That rating applies to applications for ...

I can't say about the KKM barrel and loads but I understand plated are seldom very accurate. If you have a bullet under groove size, you will get leading Everyone wants screamers out of a 9 and I don't think it is necessary. Measure the groove and get the right size bullet I gotta bug Jeffie to try ...

Ahhh da 9's Not sure if you saw my BE-List posting on it; I have a stock 92fs It has a 0.357 groove 1 in 10 barrel. WTF ! It will technically stabilize a 180 gr bullet. Went thru a similar exercise with 124 gr lead, which leaded at any loading. Now load 0.358 diameter 158 RN with Unique. I get 960 f...

What Jack says is fine for either jacketed or hard cast It took me a long time to find them but I use Hornady new dimension 454 Casull dies . They size the case OD to 0.469 IIRC. Std dies size to 465 or less as makers dont want loose bullet complaints from ordinary users. That includes the smallest ...
