Received my SSP 3 months ago. It wouldn't fire because the firing pin had been cut at the Shot Show. Spent two months trying to get parts with no success. My new one should arrive this week. I'm looking forward to firing it. Remember that the gun is so new that there are no (and I mean NO) parts to ...

That's interesting considering the fact that the ISSF has once again refused to recognize Practical Shooting as an actual sport. Reference the 2/2006 issue of ISSF magazine. Thank you for your feedback. Perhaps someone from USAS read it. We may not have the luxury of being involved in a very excitin...

Here's an interesting story. I was recently in Columbus, GA. to shoot the USA Shooting Nationals. I returned to my hotel one afternoon to find an ESPN film crew setup to interview the guy who starred in the movie "Rudy". When I questioned them, ESPN was not even aware that the USAS Nationa...

Reinhamre;

Sorry that I haven't replied sooner. I'm having network issues. The serial number of my SSP is 1047.

I received my SSP last week and I must say that I am very pleased thus far. The top load allows the grip to adjustable for rake and cant. (At least that is my understanding. I haven't actually begun to adjust it yet.) You may notice that this design change is different than the OSP and GSP designs. ...

TAU 7 seals

We use the TAU pistols as our club guns for beginner shooters. I recommend that you stockpile o-rings because I replace at least one each week. Don't get me wrong, the TAU is a great gun for the money but it does have a tendancy to eat o-rings. Happy shooting!

First, donload the TSA powerpoint presentation from the USA Shooting website. Second, print and familiarize yourself with the TSA regulations. You may be asked to remove the valve from your scuba tank for visual inspection. The local scuba shop in the other end can re-seat it when they fill the tank...

I shot my first match about a month after I started shooting. It must have been blind luck that only one other gentleman showed up for the match. I won by five shots with a whopping 495. Scores have improved considerably since then. Hang in there. Practice pays off.

Airline TSA and airguns

I have now had two seperate run-ins with airline TSA agents regarding the cylinders for my Morini air pistol. Both times they wanted me to open the air cylinders for visual inspection (they also want the valves removed from scuba tanks). I need to know if removing the valve from the cylinder is poss...

Nose heavy pistol

Ok, I've been shooting pistol for about a year now. Over the last several months I have struggled with dropping my front sight post. This tends to happen more as my arm gets tired. I have noticed it with both of my Morini pistols (air and free). The problem is that I have now developed a nasty habit...

Good question! I've been asking the same thing since I began shooting with compressed air. I wonder if other gasses would expand at different rates thereby fluctuating the muzzle velosity. I also wonder if they react like compressed air in extreme temperature fluctuations (25-110 degrees F). Has any...

The key is consistancy. Sounds like you are finding techniques that work well for your style of shooting. I played with moving my sights from top to bottom but I found that I expend less energy by simply bringing the gun up to the target picture. Whatever you decide to do, consistancy is the thing y...
