Re: Help with anschutz 2007/2013 sight

SPMTT,

If you are right handed just point your thumb in the direction you want the shots to go and turn the sight knob in the direction your fingers curl.

As you gain more experience it will become instinctive.

Best,

Interesting to note that, as talented as she is, this is the first medal she has won in international competition.

Where does one go from here?

Re: NRA or New Governing Body?

Kenny, Competitive shooters are a miniscule percentage of the NRA membership. There are approximately 30,000 classification cards in all disciplines. Realistically we know that most of us hold at least two, but lets ignore that. There are 5,000,000 NRA members which means competitive shooters, at be...

Re: does anyone have "clothing measuring" tools calibrated?

Colleagues, Rick Hawkins, US Coast Guard Academy Coach, conducted the equipment check and reports that UK's Head Coach Harry Mullins was there watching the situation and the cutting. He didn't have to cut it, he just couldn't use a belt as the waist band was 2.7mm thick, the limit is 2.5mm if someon...

Re: Finding NPA after each reload

G'Day Giddaymate, Never having watched you shoot it is a difficult question to answer but after you reload, grasp the pistol grip and then put your elbow down. This should make your elbow placement more consistent. If you have a good natural point of aim when you start this with should help replicat...

Re: eye relief

JPK, I think you are using the wrong term in your question. Eye relief is the distance from the rear aperture and your eye. It is the point at which the your eye obtains the full viewing angle. It changes from position to position, closer prone than in standing, but is usually about two to six inche...

Re: Pre 70's Anschutz barrel steel

I was standing in the assembly area at Camp Perry when my Pennsylvania shooting friend Terry Lightner hurried past me in a crouch, a soft rifle case cradled in his arms and held close to his chest. A vision of Ygor scuttling off to Dr. Frankenstein’s laboratory with a full brain bottle under his clo...

Re: Smallbore at Camp Perry?

Marty, Your argument is sound. As I said, I am bound to tell what I am told, but not in every case to believe it. I am not carrying the NRA's water, far from it, just making observations. The NRA has several things going for it in regard to Conventional prone at Bristol this year. They have brought ...

Re: Smallbore at Camp Perry?

Jake, I am sure that Carl, and the rest of the vendors, would like to have some smallbore shooters spending money this summer on Commercial Row, and may be working in that direction with the CMP, but if there is any smallbore at Perry it won't be an NRA event. Although, Dennis Willing wrote in the c...
