Cheek placement & Rear sight Alignment
What are some drills that folks use to teach Junior shooters how to repeat cheek position and rear sight alignment on every shot?

Re: Question about sight risers?
I first noticed this because the shooters eye & cheek position looked off. It looked as if the shooter was looking down through the rear sight. The shooter said that the gun was already set up like that when they got it from the previous coach. The thing that caused the most concern to me was th...

Re: Question about sight risers?
Is she using a 22mm front aperture instead of 18mm? Just a guess. marky-d Does the aperture of a 18mm front sight sit 2mm lower than that of an 22mm one??? I would've assumed that the apertures would be at the same line-of-sight height from the barrel. I put risers on my son's Walther LG-400 with s...

Re: Question about sight risers?
The front sight is 22mm. But I believe that is what the rifle came with new. There is no riser on the front sight.

Question about sight risers?
I have a shooter who just joined our club. She come from another club with some very capable coaches. She shoots a FWB P70 JR. I am trying to figure out why the rifle is set up with risers only on the rear sight but none on the front sight. The shooter is shooting pretty good, but I noticed that the...

REAR SIGHT TEST
I think one of my rear sights may have a dead spot. When I turn the windage knob It doesn't do anything for a few clicks and then when I turn it a few more clicks it moves the shot too far. Is their a simple way that I can test out the sight before spending 4-5 hundy on a new one?

Re: USA Shooting & ELEY Present Portal E-Limination
There isn't a contact email for questions on my eley. In the rules it states that scores are to be entered and a picture of the targets uploaded. For those who are shooting paper targets, can the Target Scan app be used and the PDF file that the app provides be uploaded? Or should we plug targets? P...

Replacing the rear sight questions
My daughter shoots an FWB 2700 Leight.
The rear sight has come apart. I am looking to purchase a new sight. Are Centra, MEC, Gehman my only options for aftermarket sights that will fit on an FWB dovetail?

Re: Cold Weather Shooting
We have been known to use hand warmers. The kind that are in the small pouches that are for 1 time use. Stick them in the offhand glove. And a second one in the pocket of the shooting jacket to warm the trigger hand between shots. It helps a bunch. Of course some may frown on it as far as equipment ...

I didn't get one!
I was on the NRA Staff for the match. (Volunteer)
My daughter was a shooter in the match. She did not get the survey in her email either.

Thanks for the great replies.
I emailed Shooting sight and got a fast response. They answered all my questions. Lens should arrive in 2-3 weeks.

Re: correlation between 50yd outdoor and 50ft indoor 3-P
It depends. If your daughter was shooting a conventional (A-23) 50yd target then there really isn't any correlation between the 2 distances. A better gauge would be to shoot the metric (A51) 50 yd target or the (A50) 50 meter target. That will give you a much closer comparison. The sight picture sho...

Re: Drive U nutz pellet test
In all my testing using 25 or 30 shot groups, I NEVER saw a flyer. I saw some tight groups opened by one shot that went out of the group by LESS than a quarter pellet width (a little bulge). I'm afraid I can't get tooo excited by the possibility (maybe) of a 10.7 over a 10.9. Tell that to all of th...

Re: SHOOTING JACKET MODIFICATION/ALTERATION
We have extended 2 coats by adding canvas material, and they both passed USAS inspection. Stagger the inside and outside seams so the seams are not on top of each other which will cause it to be too thick. Any chance that you can send me pictures of the inside & outside of the jacket? It would ...
