Re: International Pistol Shooting Events in South Carolina?
I'd be totally willing to do that gwsb, if I can find a club that has facilities for 10m AP, 25m RF, or 50m ... the latter being the easiest as one needs only target frames, a 100 yard range, and some wind flags. Run in six 10 shot strings, and using the old X-count scoring method of tie breaking, w...

Re: Gear Used by Competitors
It is really interesting to see how, in 2010, the Men's AP shooters brought upwards of 10 different brands to the line ... and only 4 years later it had shrunk to 6. I bet as of 2016, it would be down to 4 or 5.

Re: International Pistol Shooting Events in South Carolina?
Hey Jim, Thanks for the quick and detailed reply. It's funny, as Newberry was a club I had seen mentioned in some earlier posts. Do they still have the facilities in place for holding matches? the drive I don't mind at all ... and would be willing to help out in any way I could to make things happen...

International Pistol Shooting Events in South Carolina?
I moved here to South Carolina in the fall of 2014 ... I've been working on buying and rebuilding a house, and managing a small business since then, but now I am getting ready to start shooting again. I really enjoy 10m Air Pistol, 50m Free Pistol, and would like to try 25m Rapid Fire as well. I can...

Gallery Pistol in SC?
Interested in shooting gallery pistol this coming season here in SC. Can't find information on the body or organization governing the sport here in the Palmetto State. Any shooters on this board that do?
Many thanks

The sear spring was not in its retainer ... actually, it was completely SIDEWAYS in the trigger housing between the side plates. I took it apart and finagled it into position with a dental pick and a feeler gauge. Once it was back in position and the various parts were aligned (no small task there) ...

Went to the range today with the PGP-75 that I picked up here from LesJ recently (many thanks again) ... and I can tell you that my 10 shot strings were in no WAY resembling Master Skanaker's! But, by the end of the session I had a couple of 10 shot strings with all the shots in the black. Which is ...

50m Free Pistol 10 Shot String Results: 100-6x!
No, not me (I wish). Ragnar Skanaker back in '86 at Melboure, Oz. Just a great image of a great shooter after a series of great performances. Thought it was a good one to share.

FWB 65/80/90 Shooters: Poll
Wondering what my fellow FWB spring-piston family air pistol shooters use for pellet weight in their pistols. I have always used the RWS Meisterkugeln Pistol (.45 gram) in my 90. It's the old truism of heavier pellets=lower velocity=open grouping. What is your choice and why? http://www.umarexusa.co...

For those interested. The HD version is really the way to go, if your connection can handle it. All of the youtube olympic channel shooting vids are quite excellent.
Enjoy!

2012 50m Final ... wow.
Just watched the full coverage of the 50m final from this past summer games in "Jolly Old." Wow. Jin Jongoh was incredible (in both the 10m ap AND the 50m) ... but my heart goes out to silver medalist Choi, who had the gold in his sights with anything better than an 8.6 on his final shot! ...

Air Pistol in Sao Paulo, Brazil
Any members out there in Sampa that can give me info on Airgun Ranges there? Moving in December and want to continue getting back into the sport I love so much (I started this forum about a million years ago as part of my Air Pistol Home Page ...). Many thanks!
