Re: Does any team/club use the Orion Scoring System and....

Loads of programs in Alaska use Orion. Easiest way to get people to match against is to set up your own open virtual match and see what takers you can find. I know plenty of ROTC programs here who would be interested. Most shoot sporter. BE ADVISED------------------- The newest version of ORION --- ...

Now, as far as I know Air Force and Alaska have never competed in precision. There are multiple AFJROTC teams in Albuquerque that have precision shooters. All are in rebuilding modes with young shooters. I would love to help the AFJROTC unit here build a precision program. Sadly, that won't happen ...

Yeah, that's what I figured. Clear as mud. LOL! Technically, Alaska is part of the Eastern grouping and they don't take individual precision shooters. I figure that is why Virginia and Alaska shooters who did score higher than the Western shooter are listed there. However, we are on the western seab...

I will say that while the program through 4-h has defunct I am glad to have the information and knowledge of what expectations need to be met for shooters interested in continuing on to upper levels. I saw USAS as something different from CMP and NRA programs but a nice middle ground for a long term...

JROTC invites lists

I need some help, specifically with the invites supposedly out for AFJROTC units. I have two shooters in in our club that may have qualified for their JROTC championships. However, I do not know if they supposedly got an invite. If they are on this spread sheet does it mean they should have gotten a...

taking a few photos out of gear might help. I wonder if you are placing to much weight forward. My daughter is tall like you and it took a bit to get the position to a point where her elbow was behind the knee. but after we had the weight back she does well.

Here is my thing on wanting to shoot for a university. Just my opinion. If a shooter has a program in mind, the shooter needs to being the contact. They can do that during their Junior year. Why wait for a school to solicit? It's nice that they make a showing at championships, but it is just face ti...

I too start all of our shooters buying a pair of chucks/converse style shoes or a pair of indoor soccer shoes. Something with minimal shock absorbtion and insole. I want them to know if they are rocking on the toes or heals. More connection with the ground.

ON this one I disagree with Devine Creation. For the price I would tell you to get an Anchutz 8001SR. I have one of these for our team at the high school. Right off hand I can't remember all of the things I found annoying. It has been almost a year since I had a shooter working with it. OH! I rememb...

Ok I have my new pants and I love them! They are supposed to be snug correct? They're not too constricting but they're not loose by any means! They feel good in kneeling and offhand but its tight getting into them? That should be fine right? You should have the zippers open and the waist open in kn...

Re: Shooting Pants

What size should my shooting pants be? Same size as jeans? Not necessarily. You need to get the measurement guide for the brand you are interested in. Shooting pants sit above the hip bone more at the waist. Measure and get the right fit for the pants. Even then, I usually advise getting two sizes ...
