Someone else has just suggested the same thing; taking the cocking lever off, removing a threaded cap at the rear of the housing and then liding the bolt out.

Help! How do I fit a seal on my FAS AP609?
Hi everyone, Hopefully there are some of you who have been where I am now. My FAS AP609 recently split the small o-ring seal on the breach pin (or whatever it's actually called). I've since obtained some spares, but I have no idea how to get a new seal on. The space to work in is small and fiddley, ...
