Re: Scatt calibration question

I set up my Scatt using a vice to hold the pistol and then shimmed the sensor using aluminium tape so that it was giving me a calibration result that was in the inner circle. I first set up the gun so that it was aimed at the target and then adjusted the sensor. As long as when you take the calibrat...

Re: Camera spotter to phone app

Found only 1 review of the wifi spotting scope adaptor, it gave it 2 stars only. They are Amazon for 65$ so its not too expensive a gamble. The owner said the resolution was poor, but he was using it to take pictures of the stars! I would hope that it had enough resolution for looking at a 10M pisto...

This is a wifi eyepiece for your scope that send the image to your phone or tablet. I have been thinking about it.....but waiting to hear if anyone has any experience with it.

Re: SCATT training with 10 M live air pistol

Mounted the sensor with the standard mount and ended up with an F coefficient of 14. I actually shot better with the added pressure of not hitting the sensor. Will see how the side mounted sensor holder compares when I get it back. The interesting thing was mounting it over a suitable back stop that...

Will there be more videos in the series? It's been over a year since the last one.

Re: Nice teaching from an old friend

Nice video.
One question...what is the thinking on lifting the arm above the target and lowering verses lift into the target zone , which is what seems to happen in these videos?
Thanks

Re: SCATT training with 10 M live air pistol

Thanks. I have ordered the sensor mount that is used in place of a weight on the side rails. I will experiment and see if this causes a drastic change compared to mounting on the cylinder.
May be a while as the sensor holder is waiting for me in the UK!

Re: SCATT training with 10 M live air pistol

Great info thanks.
I am just waiting for the sensor mount for the Lp10 so I can swap it easily with the 9mm pistol.

Just need to great 10m Air files to study from someone to set a reference for my own.

Re: SCATT training with 10 M live air pistol

Rover,
That would be the ultimate incentive not to miss the black!
Ok , will sort out a mount that will allow the frame to go in front of my back stop.
Heddok, Do you change the target every couple of shots or just when the centre is gone as you are seeing the results on screen?

Cheers all.

SCATT training with 10 M live air pistol

I normally use my Scatt set up at 10 m for training with 9mm pistol simulating 25M for ISSF. I have an air pistol back stop next to the Scatt target where I do live firing with my LP10. I have not yet used the Scatt with Air , I have purchased the metal frame to protect the sensor but I see that to ...

Re: HK Elite..Any thoughts?

Thanks for the feed back about the gun. I like a long radius but the trigger is what I wanted to hear about. I figure that as here in Europe at most sport pistol contests there are many Sig P210, Vipers etc, the fact I have never seen an Elite speaks volumes. I have a friend with a GT9 and he has of...

HK Elite..Any thoughts?

Currently using a Shadow Viper for 25 M sports pistol here in Spain but am looking for some info from anyone who has experience with the HK USP Elite pistol. I am looking at a 9 mm option and would love to know about the trigger and any other thoughts from people. Problem is I have to order it to ev...

SCATT...time in the 10.0 area

During a nice hold using Scatt at 10 m distance with a 9mm pistol, I see a figure of between 70-85% time in the 10.0 area. When looking at the trace it does not appear that the stated percentage falls within the 10.0 ring!
Any thoughts?

Re: Charging Bottle advice

Yes I'm in Spain where they like to extract every last penny out of the consumer. The bottles are steel and I see that I can order the whole kit for a 12 L, 300 Bar bottle with all the connections for 239 pounds which is pretty reasonable. Better if you are using $$$! Will pick one up on my next vis...

Charging Bottle advice

Just finished my range at home so intend to shoot 4 or 5 times per week. I currently have my LP10 charged at the club and i am wondering how best to proceed at home. My options are a Hill pump that I already have for which I would just need to buy some quick release valves and adaptors for the Steyr...

Re: Good book on free pistol?

I bought and finished the E-book off Itunes. My last two shooting books were the MEC offerings. I was hoping for a book more along the lines of the Pistol book from MEC and was thus a little bit disappointed. It just had the feel that it had been put out in a rush. In the exercise section it gave so...
