Fixed it!!!
Thanks for the help. I found the problem thanks to the last poster. The spring has precious little material sticking out into hole where the screw is designed to push down on it. The previous owner apparently turned the screw in too far, and drove it past the spring. All I had to do was back the scr...

No help so far
Apparently the previous poster didn't read my OP. I'm not looking for instructions on how to adjust the trigger. I'm seeking advice on correcting why that adjustment screw isn't having any effect. I've run the screw back and forth through the entire range of travel, stopping every turn or so to chec...

IZH-35M Help
Posted this on the "Olympic Pistol" page because I figured there are probably more shooters using this gun for ISSF than Bullseye, but I want to make sure I cover all the bases, so pardon the redundancy. I found a nice used IZH-35M at my local gun shop for a reasonable price. So, I picked ...

IZH-35M Help
I found a nice used IZH-35M at my local gun shop for a reasonable price. So, I picked it up. I really like the gun so far. It shoots to call, and is ultra- reliable, with any kind of ammo. My problem is the trigger weight. It currently measures a consistent 1 lb, 10 oz. I can't get the trigger weigh...

Kimber - a viable .22 bullseye gun?
I have little experience with the Kimber .22 conversions, so I can't really comment on their suitability as bullseye guns. I do have experience with the S&W Model 41 and would like to comment on that since it was discussed in this thread. My experience was totally negative. It really disappointe...

Aguilla .22 ammo
Shortly after the current drought in .22 ammo started, I backordered a case of Aguilla SE from the CMP. I was worried it wouldn't arrive before the new restrictions on bulk ammo purchases take effect in New York State on Jan 1st. I was pleasantly surprised to see it waiting for me when I returned fr...

Air pistol grip angles
My Morini is mechanical trigger, not electronic. Still Rink said it can't be done.

Air pistol grip angles
Anyone have knowledge regarding the differences in “grip angles” amongst the currently available top shelf air pistols? I have a Morini, and it is a fine gun. I rigged up a machine rest for it in my basement and it put 5 out of 5 shots all through the same pellet hole. So the potential is certainly ...

Camp Perry 2013 comments
In the big scheme of things, the trials and tribulations experienced by the shooters at this year’s National Pistol Matches at Camp Perry are kind of small potatoes. I whole-heartedly agree with 641’s comments though. This is the “World Series” of our sport. The fact that, after a hundred years of h...

Bore care?
CR10X, I would be interested in the data for your "Clean load" for the .45. I currently shoot 4.5 W231 with a 185 gr. lead SWC (Zero) for the short line and 4.3 W231 with a 200 gr. lead SWC (Mastercast) for the long line. I am pleased with the accuracy with both of those loads, but they ar...

Bore care?
The point of my post seems to have been missed. When someone states emphatically that you should "NEVER" to do something that has been done regularly throughout modern history, it get me worried. It is one thing to say that use of a brass (or bronze) brush is not necessary to achieve satis...

Bore Care?
I curious about the reservations against using brass bore brushes. Several harsh admonitions, but no explanation why. If brass bore brushes are so damaging then the U.S. military has millions of weapons that must be virtually useless. I know that my unit armorer would never have accepted a weapon af...

.22 ammo diet change
A while back (well over a year ago) I had bought a couple of bricks of Wolf Target .22 ammo (at $54.00 a brick). I was impressed with the accuracy of it out of my S&W Model 41. However, it didn’t seem like it was worth twice the price of the CCI SV (at $27.00 a brick) I had been using. It certai...

Bullseye!
Just wanted to say that I downloaded this AP and took it to the range yesterday to try it out. Works great!. Simple to use interface. Resets itself automatically, so all you have to do is push the start button again for the next string. Nice. For those of us who carry or use an iPhone or iPod anyway...

Bullseye gunsmiths
I know this is an old thread, and the OP has since resolved their issue, but since I did a lot of similar leg work, I thought I would post my experiences. I needed a .45, cause I had none. After much research, I decided to go with Clarks. One other smith that came highly recommended was Joe Chambers...

Can anyone tell me if the MKKIII Mainspring Housing Latch Assembly will fit and function correctly in the MKII?

Distinguished revolver options
So, I bought a model 14 S&W with the intent of using it in our local police pistol league, and to also begin the journey toward Distinguished Revolver. Finally found a load that the gun seems to like. However, no matter what load I shoot, with the elevation adjustment bottomed out, and a center ...
