Re: Slide Mount or Frame Mount for Red Dot on .45?
I spoke to two gunsmith at Camp Perry about a frame mount. My brother wants a frame .mounted pistol built. One strongly suggested that a slide mount was best for Bullseye Pistol. The other smith refused to build a pistol with a frame mount. The frame mount is a little hard to mount to have it proper...

FWB Model 2 Parts
The trigger shoe broke on my pistil after who knows how many rounds. This is a plastic shoe that threads up on the main trigger. It is held by a screw that allows an adjustment for angle. The part number is 2000 322.1

Re: Non pro shooter looking for first pro quality .22 pistol
I would proceed with caution on the Pardini. While the pistol is accurate ,reliable, and no maintenance it is awkwardly balanced. The trigger magazine and barrel (and red dot if needed) are forward of the grip. This makes the pistol nose heavy. My Pardini is an older one that did not have the option...

There is no advantage with a 6" barrel. The Army tested and found no accuracy advantage with the 6".

Re: Case cleaning for reloading
A lot depends on what brass you start with. If it is used dirty range brass and you want shiny new then the wet tumbling with SS pins cleans very well.
If you start with new brass and pick it up then a tumbler with corn cob or walnut hulls will work.
I not not real familiar with ultrasonic.

Re: Camp Perry New Huts
I stayed in the new huts in 2015. These huts are 2 feet wider than the old ones,so there is some room that can be used as common area in the middle for cleaning guns or a common table. Beds are twin size with a vinyl covering over the mattress. There is a "school locker" for each bed. I su...

Re: Jack Best hardball 1911
Does it have an aftermarket barrel? Kart or Bar-sto. Jackie welded a lot of stock barrels and fit them. An aftermarket barrel would add value in my eyes. SA barrels were two piece and some people do not like them. Not sure of the market after the CMP changes this year. My guess $700 to a high of $10...

Re: Replacing 22 and installing a 32 barrel in a marvel rece
I don't think it would be feasible. Difficulties would be : firing pin off center from RF to CF., slide weight, barrel, and magazines. All these would need designed and one time manufactured.

I asked the same question on another forum. The response was the huts had AC. You still need bedding and all others things as before. Bath houses are as before.

That rule applies in some of the Action Pistol disciplines. The thought is that a competitor should not have his finger on the trigger until the firearm is pointed at the target. In these disciplines the competitors are drawing from a holster. It is possible ,if you have your finger on the trigger, ...

I read am article that was done by a person that had researched gun wounds for many years. His findings was that one "well placed shot" stopped like 95% of intruders and gun battles irregardless of pistol caliber used. He used a shot to the vital organs or head as his definition as a well ...

What the bullet caster was telling you was good advice. What you don't want to do is reduce the diameter of your cast bullets when you seat your bullet into the brass. If your expander is not properly sizing the inside of the case then when you seat the bullet you could reduce the diameter of your c...
