Thank you to Bob Simard and WSA

For hosting the monthly 10 meter air pistol match yesterday at WSA. It was my first non-postal match and it was a blast. (pun unintentional) It's people like Bob who are the true heroes of the sport.

I'm not saying if I bought a LP-10E I would shoot like a pro but if I could afford it and would like to have the same gun that other countries and top of the line shooters in the world have, then why not. Absolutely no reason at all. The point is that it is surely the responsibility of the manufactu...

I use an electrical connection box lined with electrical duct putty. The putty is cheap, stops and holds the pellets and is easy to replace when saturated. The electrical box is heavy enough steel that no pellet is going to pass trough it. I use a magnet on top to hold any target by making a small f...

Team 10 Meter Three Position Air Rifle

Are there any competitions where three shooter teams compete with each shooter doing a different position? Could be a fun way to involve more people if it hasn't been done.

Make certain whatever case you buy is TSA certified for air-travel. My Benelli Kite case is but there is no indication who made it. Negrini is a good bet as another poster noted.

I cannot shoot with vision in my non used eye, so good that you can do this. My frames are as you mentioned "Varga" and yes bought because were the best value. Now you have given me something else to do in my "spare" time and with weights no less, thought I had seen the last of ...

Re: Stuck at 545

Air Pistol LP10e. I seem to be stuck at 545-550, I was progressing nicely and now I seem to have plateaued. I have shot a couple of scores over 560 so I know I can do it. I am very consistent and rarely shoot below a 540. My current goal is to bring all shots INSIDE the 9 ring, I figured the better...

The dedicated lens has made a bid difference, my shooting mentor recommended a focal length of 1.3m. The shooting frame comes with a flip up blinder so I tried it with and without, for me using the blinder is good but try it out for yourself to see if it works. Try a bit of paper over the non used ...

Dry Fire Works

Been doing it now for three weeks close to a blank wall with just a small dot. Been doing 20 min every other day. Just scored a 40 shot postal match personal best of 361. No mantra used. Nice feeling seeing an exercise pay off.

Front sight is not all of it though.
Quite right, but at the moment it is my central problem.

Re: Quiet mind

I like what Pat said but I don't think he is saying it to him self while shooting but before. If you study any sports psychology thinking and doing doesn't work. Visualize what you want to happen using as many of your sences (see the perfict sight pitchure, feel the presure on the trigger, hear the ...

Mantra Whilst Shooting?

AKA as talking to oneself. I find myself repeating to myself over and over again while aiming and firing, "Front sight, follow through." since I've been doing that my scores have risen a little. Maybe I should add "squeeze" in the middle of the mantra, but then it gets too long a...

There was a lengthy piece on PBS News Hour last night about three dimensional printing of very complex objects. Far more complex than a grip. One Cornell student made ballet shoes to fit her feet perfectly. I predict it will eventually be done and that the top shooters will, within five years, have ...

I would even be willing to make the two hour drive to Montreal for coaching. Any ideas folks. Thanks.
