Re: SCATT calibration problem

As long as the dot is inside the circle, it is fine to go. Shoot a group even if it is not in the middle, the group can be moved to the center of the target by the software. The other parameters that the program measures are far more important than the score while you are learning.

Re: SCATT calibration problem

Running on Win10, mine is more consistent by starting the program in "administrator" mode, then connecting the usb cables. Make sure the computer is not going into sleep mode when connected, once that happens I am disconnected even though the program still shows on the screen. 95% of the t...

This is probably the best resource to explain what's going on in Scatt. Tricia van Nus' manual http://www.coachexcellence.net/wp-cont ... -SCATT.pdf

Re: NEW SCATT MODEL???

I was quite satisfied with their customer service. After leaving a problem question on ScattUSA's website, their rep not only emailed but also called me at the phone number I supplied and left a message for me to call him direct either on the toll free number or another paid number he left. Again I ...

I doubt that the ONG has anything to do with Talledega, but a lot to do with the funding. Impressive for the Palma competitors though.

Cut a thin piece of leather to fit under the hammer to cushion the impact and fire away.

Thanks, Martin, that was my feeling as well. I normally shoot aperture sights and have for 60+ years so "open" sights are a new experience. My Dad was a lifelong target shooter, so his kids got Redfield peeps on their kiddie rifle from the start. Heck, they were only about $4 back then. Pe...

Question on open sight eyeglass lens correction

I normally shoot aperture sights with a correction factor of .5 added to my prescription for my right eye and have been fairly successful with that. Recently I wanted to try a fun match with an open sighted rifle and discovered that what I used before was not even close to anything that works. Then ...

While not a pistol shooter, after being there last week, I can't help but wonder what the international palma match rehearsal in 2014 will be like if conditions are like the pistol shooters had this year.
