We have two out of service FEGs at our club. I think there is a manual (in English) with one of them. Will have a look when I go shooting and if so will let you know and then I can make PDF's and email them to you.

Could it be that the bad experiences of some shooters with regards to a particular brand handgun has more to do with the amount of tinkering they do with the mechanics rather than the quality of the gun? I have owned 4 different brands of .22, two purchased new and two purchased second/third/fourth/...

I might be missing something here but why are you checking your heart rate when shooting? Surely, it is one extra thing to think about, worry about if you like. For several years I have suffered from chronic atrial fibrillation which has my heart permanently racing. Once over the shock of the diagno...

Our Guest Johnny wrote: The trigger of the Røhm airguns are bad. As bad as it may get. I am certainly no advocate for Rohm airguns as I prefer my Morini's trigger. However, the trigger is not at all that bad. Maybe you just had a bad experience with one which wasn't adjusted to your liking. Yes, the...

Our club purchased a Rohm Twinmaster match with left and right KN grips for use as a club gun. It is used 2-4 times a week and certainly shoots well. However, the downside is the finish on the cocking level appears to be bare metal rather than blued and is showing signs of surface rust from the acid...

Don't know what a Nygord sizer was like but I tried sizing the pellets a few years ago. It made no difference. In fact, as the pellets were pushed through the sizer small slivers of lead were sliced off the sides of the pellets which had a wider flange. Not sure whether they were wider because they ...

Richard is fairly well spot on but there is also another way of looking at why there is little difference in the point of impact. I have crunched some numbers and am willing to stand corrected by someone who understands these things better than I. Basically the drop from 170 metres/sec to 160 m/sec ...

I think Jacques may be close to the money on this one. You may be getting light refaction because you are looking through your lens at an angle. In a normal stance a right handed shooter has his head turned to the right and is looking through the lens at an angle. Shooting glasses enable the lens to...

A trick I was taught at a coaching clinic was to not look at the target and not pick up the front sights too early. The coach urged me to raise the pistol above the black and to consciously look at my wrist hairs or something thereabouts. (My Morini air pistol has a nice large screw just under the r...

Its an amazing sight, watching them zip downrange Colin. But damn, I get annoyed when I do notice them. Hi Pete, If you can see them zipping downrange then I guess you must have that expensive toy of yours working. Given my work/holidays situation and lack of ISSF opens, looks like the state titles...

I'm with Spencer here. I believe a lot of shooters think they are focussed on the front sight and would tell theirn coaches such. Really they are subconsciously focussed some way out in front in an attempt to get the best of both worlds. The sight picture they see is a slightly fuzzy front sight but...

Oz you disappoint me! When I read that you had a home brew trigger weight checker I was expecting a bottle of home brew with so many sips out of it to measure the weight. Using pellets seems so much more civilized anyhow. Regards the trigger weight. Can I suggest that you creep it up to more like 56...

Thanks Spencer I have started having the same problems as our guest after buying a load of the HBWC while visiting Sydney earlier this year. Going back to where we started, I might add my experience. When I started I used to close my non-shooting eye and then I bought some shooting glasses with a 35mm wide strip of opaque plastic to shield my non shooting eye. After a while I often found that after a break I was shooting with both eyes o...

Luke You missed my point which was that to determine whether increased training had a positive effect or not, you would have to judge over many tests. The two examples I used were to illustrate opposite ends of what might happen to bring about a different result on a one-off test to what might be de...

My experience is that if you get the extra lens at the same time as you get a new pair of glasses if just goes on the one bill. The optometrist usually bulk bills yours visit.
