If your are comparing the short with the long, there is really no difference except in weight. The cylinder in a short is shorter and so holds less air, but usually enough for 140 shots or two matches. The sight radius is the same between the two models which is achieved by moving the rear sight clo...

It's been mentioned here a few times. Best system for the Morini is to cut the end off a 35mm film canister and attach some self-stick tyre weights to these. I use the 5g weights as you do not have to bend them to conform to the plastic tube. Slide the tube over the air cannister. It is a perfect fi...

Back to your original question re the same fitting for pump and scuba tank. The answer is yes and no. The Morini fitting should screw into the pump and a scuba tank - if the tank has the correct valve fitting. If the scuba tank is a 200bar tank then fittings are widely available and your dive shop c...

Just look at the front sight as if nothing else exists. Make it nice and clear and sharp. Don't even worry about the target - you know what it looks like. If you have been shooting for a while, the grey-matter between your ears will factor in side issues like where the pistol is pointing and whether...

Ruig, When the pistol is unloaded and the main spring is not cocked (as per John H.'s advice) why not just depress the cocking lever and then dry fire? What does depressing the trigger before cocking, then releasing it do? Does it save wear in certain parts? And finally, do you have to do this each ...

I bought an IZH 35M as a back-up pistol a few years ago. I have been so impressed that I offloaded by main pistol and now use the IZH exclusively. In close to 10,000 rounds I have never had a misfeed or fail to fire and only once have I had an alibi which was caused by the ejected case jamming at ri...

Muffo, There used to be three of us shooting Morini shorts at out club and we usually ended up alongside one another. It was amazing the difference we would get in the number of shots out of the short cylinder. I get around 140 before lock-out, one of the other guys used to get about 120 and the oth...

Interesting thing is that a few months after getting shooting glasses, a couple of times I made the mistake of not lowering the occluder when I returned to the line after taking a break. I was able to shoot as if it was lowered because my brain was so used to taking the vision from my right eye that...

Been away while most of this thread has been running. Just back from MISC Open in Melbourne at the weekend and everyone appears to be having trouble sourcing lead projectiles. Seems to be very few manufacturers at the moment. Bullzi has a 6-8 week delay on orders and appears to be the only one churn...

OK MUffo where did you get the Federal 711B? If I am right that's the Gold Medal ammo. I am down to one brick and the stuff's been on back order since April 12 months ago when I cleaned out the dealer. It groups beautifully through both my Toz and my IZH-35M. I am not sure any has come into Australi...

To get the barrel to swing back to the right add some filler to the grip where it meets the heel of your palm. Try it with Blu-Tack or plasticine (do they still make that stuff?) and you will be able to judge how much fill is needed. Any owner of a IZH-35 will tell you that the factory grip is a one...

I've still got a few bricks of the 711B. It went so well through my IZH-35M that I went back to the spoorts store and bought his entire stock. That was back in May 2008. He ordered more immediatekly and it has been on back order since so I am guessing we did not import any into Australia when the la...
