Pleasure
Go ahead and spend the money. You will be rewarded with a state of the art machine that will give you immense pleasure everytime you use it. The specific make/model does not really matter - get what you are comfortable with. Get what you feel good shooting. Can you be satisified with a used gun? You...

trap
Here is a great design that can easily be copied. http://www.archerairguns.com/trap.html The back is filled with 1 1/2 inches of Duct Seal (over kill at AP velocities) - a product available at Home Depot. Only use Duct Seal - other sealers and putty products will not work. No noise at all. I have ne...

About the TAU-7
It appears that there are far to many "guests" here that have no names and only sharp critical comments. Too bad, help was asked for - so give it. Now, about the TAU-7. I have owned a couple of them. They shot well and had good triggers. Did my scores go up when I switched from the Izzy to...

Semantics - who cares! Just go have fun and enjoy your shooting. Because, if you don't enjoy it - you will never excel.
That said, I have to agree with Tom's wife. Buy the best you can afford - you will enjoy your shooting even more.

I'd repair/replace with another Co2 AP.

Co2
If you have used 90% of the Co2 in a cylinder, you still have full pressure. Can you do that with CA?

Try this
Fill the cylinder until gas stops flowing from the large tank to the cylinder - actually I should say liquid, as that is what Co2 is for our use and purpose. Then remove the cylinder from the filling adapter and weigh it on a postal scale. If it exceeds the maximum for that cylinder - then use the b...

Is there interest for an operational match
I am considering adding a 60 shot postal AP match to AirgunInfo.com. Currently, a shorter biweekly match is offered. A new match would be in addition to the existing match - not a replacement. The new match would operate in a similar manner to the current 20/20 match. Info can be seen at: http://www...

A long time ago!
I started shooting smallbore rifle at age 12 as part of a high school team - that was in the middle 50s. Although I attended a boy's military school in a city - I lived in the country, where shooting and hunting was the norm. I later shot smallbore and pistol on various local and military teams. I w...

Think about it
Nano said, "If the answer is not, all the newest improvments and invention are only marketing."
That sentence does make one pause and think, now doesn't it?

Go to a bar supply shop
Bar supply shops supply Co2 to bars and soda places for beverage dispensing. I use a 20# bottle (which means there is 20 pounds of Co2 in the bottle). It actually weighs about 50#. It has a syphon pipe installed in it so that liquid Co2 comes out the top to fill whatever you fasten to it. Very easy ...

Simply stated earlier
Back in the second post, it was said that "........variations between PCP and SSP could be a problem if you shoot scores in the 595 range, otherwise (just like the endless discussions on air pistol pellets testing) the pistol will out shoot you with ease and you need not worry..........." ...

A bi-weekly short match
A fun match requiring only 20 shots is the AGI 20/20. It gives a good record of your progress, while not taking a lot of time. Info at: http://www.airguninfo.com/matchinfo.htm Participation has started to grow once again and some new names are appearing. Just remember, not everyone is a 590+ shooter...

Haven't found a favorite yet
I started with the Izzy, then a TAU-7, followed by a Pardini K60. The K60 fit like a glove, but was always a little nose heavy. Eventually I bought a K2 from Don. I like the gun and have both long and short cylinders for it. It is a shooter and I like the ability to change the feel by changing from ...

Other choices
1. The price difference between the Pardini and either a Morini or a Steyr is meaningless. It becomes pennies over the time span of years of pleasurable shooting. 2. The product support you will receive from Pilkington is priceless. I shoot a K2 and have found it to be a good gun. I bought the gun b...

Cold Weather
It is true that Co2 doesn't perform well in cold weather. But, neither do I! Most competitions are held indoors where it is warm and of constant temperature. Unless you are looking at a change of 20 degrees every few minutes and a general temperature below 45 degres - there is no problem. If conditi...
