Pardini

I have a Pardini K2 - I like it very much. I bought it because it fit well, felt good when shooting, and I consider that it will last me a very long time. That was my criteria for purchase. In the big leagues I only hear of Steyr, Morini, and Pardini. Perhaps there is a technical reason for this - o...

You are on the right track

Yes - the nose heavy design is a consideration and the shelf must be placed properly before you start removing any grip material. I think this is why I see many 46s with the left side finger edge rounded uniformily rather than for single digits. To smooth it out would be good and putting some filler...

Need replacement or original?

If you have the original grips, you might think of becoming acquainted with a Dremel Tool. With same, you can make very nice custom fitting grips from the blocks of wood that are purported to be grips on an IZH-46M as shipped new. I won't bore anyone with the working details, as they have been prese...

Dremel tool and......

Some time and patience and you can custom fit those blocky Russian grips to any hand. Just don't take off too much at a time. When you are finished with shaping, finish sanding using 100 then 180 to 240 grit paper. At least three coats of birchWood Casey Truoil. You must sand off the old finish and ...

Love the color

Neat little ladies gun - hot pink! Nice idea you have and I can see some other applications too.

How are you doing the process - hand layup (sometimes called wet layup) in the mold in halves or as a single piece?

Any problems with weight and balance?

Kindly share in the details of production.

I hope not

High Noon is a great match and the shooting season will be starting soon - like when the leaves start to change color.

About the K60

I have one. So here is info that might be of some help to you: Loading is the same as the K2 (which I also have). Shooting the K60 is generally like any other AP: load pellet, aim, pull trigger - complain about lousy shot. I find that my K60 is nose heavy. The idea of using the shorter cylinders fro...

Apples and oranges

You are trying to compare two totally different types of APs. I agree that the IZH-46M is quite heavy - and it is nose heavy to boot. It is, however, complete. All you need to shoot is a tin of pellets and a target. It has reasonably good sights and an excellent fully adjustable trigger. The Tau-7 r...

More on IZH-46M availability

To my knowledge, there are none at any dealers in the USA at this time. I see airgunners posting the same question on other forums and the answers are generally the same there - none to be had. Based on what a couple of dealers have said, they are expected within the current month. There is a used I...

Availability and where to purchase

You can spend all kinds of time searching the Internet, going to AirgunInfo.com, and even eBay - in the end you might be able to save ten or eleven dollars. How much time will you have waisted and who are you really dealing with? My best recommendation is to purchase from our host. He operates a rea...

Good things and bad things

They may be available from http://www.larrysguns.com/ - he is the Pardini rep for the USA (but his site says nothing about Pardini). Now about the gun. I had one that I bought as a wreck and rebuilt it. It has the same trigger group as the K60 - that is a good thing. It is harder to cock than the IZ...

A warning about epoxy products

When you are sanding or contouring anything you have built up with an epoxy product (such as automobile body filler) be sure to use a dust mask. You DO NOT want those particles in your lungs.

Dremel tools work well for shaping - but use a dust mask.

If they look clean and have a shine - then they are OK.

I have opened tins that were several years old, but still sealed and they were just fine. I have also seen pellets that looked hard and dirty (oxidized) sitting around in open containers. I suppose you could clean and lube these old pellets - but I won't fire them in my guns. I cringe when I see a s...

APs in competition PCP or Co2 - real life

I saw mention on another forum that some LP-1 users have converted back to Co2. Is that a fact?

Or is everyone using PCP, leaving Co2 behind without remorse?

the years move on

Here I was at Ft. Benning. The base is sure a nice place alright – but, there have been a lot of changes since I first came here. More paved roads and facilities that would make most small towns jealous. So clean and aligned, with everything in its proper place – as it should be. I found the buildin...

Vogels from Pilkington

I also buy sleeves of green Vogels from Pilkington. I used to shoot Nygord pellets, however they are no longer available. Performance wise, I can see no particular difference. I have not done a scientific test, however, and frankly see no reason to do so. Suffice to say that my scores have remained ...
