Was I so much different at 9 years old, when I tried to make every shot count? I don't think so. Daisy could make all thier guns shoot a whole lot better than they do, at a very small price increase. As I said though, I thought I was cool with a BB gun Winchester look-a-like!

I thought that the Sporter rules dictated that the sling had to be attached by conventional sling swivel. Am I wrong, or did they change the rule? Of course, I have found that Texas 4H rule interpretation is quite liberal, to say the least!

The instructor you speak of, has problems. Just because he has a rifle program in your county, does not stop you (or anyone else) from starting your own 4H rifle program as well. That way you can implement your own ideas in your own program.

I am glad that the Biathelon is still a recognized event. I was elated to hear that in Germany, it is the most widely televised sports event! Your results are not the norm, for this rifle. My son's 1907 shoots better groups with Wolf Match Target, than it does with Eley Tenex. You need to put the rifles in a vice, so that there is no way thayt the gun moves. No human error plays a factor then. You can use a large vice, with 4"X6"...
