I was wondering if materials like rubber compounds (sugru), leather, cork sheets etc are permitted for grip modification. All these are relatively softer than wood and would in some way add an advantage to gripping / adherence to the palm surface. Personally, I do the job with ready made wood paste ...

Hi I have used K2, K10 and now I am shooting K12. Trigger is the best I have seen, it feels like electronic. Absorber is good but cant say what it is compared to LP10 as I have not used LP10 for a long time. But then in my opinion you don't need an absorber in an Air Pistol. If I am not wrong, this...

Hello everybody, I had the opportunity to shoot one because we bought two for our club. First of all it is absolutely different in feeling in hand, shooting sensation, sights compared to a Hämmerli AP40. So there is no question of imagining the AP20 to have the same lineage as that of the AP40. It i...

I got both my AP40s serviced, one in 2012 and the other in 2013 during the French national championships where Walther technicians were present during the whole event. The question is, will they continue to do so a few years from now? You are right Yana. For my alu barreled AP40, I use the barrel we...

Is this the end of Hämmerli AP40?
Hello friends, It seems that the Hämmerli AP40 is finally destined for oblivion. I went through the Walther website recently and found that the AP40 is no more in their list. There is an icon on the top right stating AP40 pistols but when you click on it there is nothing. The accessories are still l...

There are experts and there are Experts, for sure. I had been suggested by one Expert to have a heavy trigger weight and about 50/50 or more weight on the 2nd stage. But some experts in the beginning of my shooting days suggested me the contrary thing; 70/30 or even 80/20. I did not pay heed to the ...

Hello, I own a Swiss made AP40 (aluminium barrel) and a German (Walther) made AP40 (steel ported barrel). I do not find any difference in accuracy or shooting pleasure. The alu barrel without gas ports is obviously lighter. The steel ported barrel has lesser recoil. In short, I love to shoot both an...

Hello, Not all countries in Europe have so strict gun rules as that of Sweden. I am rather surprised to know the situation in Sweden. In France, it is pretty cool. No air weapons need any license whatsoever. There is even no need for any licence for black powder weapons (revolvers, pistols and rifle...

For some reason some do not understand me and keep saying that I must be doing something wrong when the pistol recoils. I already know this and have stated it from my first post. Yesterday I tried another shooter's LP10. The feeling was similar to mine. It seems I was expecting too much from all th...

Hi all, I personally keep the sight radius low. I bring back the front site to reduce the sight length to the minimum both on my AP and FP. Both are Hämmerlis, AP40 and FP60 and they have the longest barrels in their respective categories; 250mm for the AP40 and 320mm for the FP60. I also use the wi...

Thanks Brian, Merci Vhoff, You are right. I need to concentrate more on the grip and the technical part before thinking about the ammunition. I need also to work a lot on the aim zone. The CCI is nice but a bit difficult to fit in the chamber. I need to force it in a bit. Pour la question de 'marque...

To all Hämmerli FP60 users Hello, I was wondering if you could suggest the ammunition of entry level for the FP60. For the moment I would not like to invest on costlier ammunition. I have tried the CCI standard velocity and the SK standard plus till now. The CCI standard looks to be better adapted t...

You bet that FP is different from AP. I went to shoot AP after a month almost of fiddling with the FPs. Goodness Lord! The trigger seemed so heavy! I forgot totally the squeeze pressure and the grip holding pressure. It was surprising! How do you analyze that? The muscle memory??? regards tirpassion
